Deptford Medical Centre was founded on the principles of traditional values and services, by Dr M.O.G. Sarder in 2002.  Over the years our practice has grown and it embraces the rich diversity of our local population. The current lead GP (Dr Inthu Kumarendran) has been with the surgery for over 12 Years and further developed the services with the underpinnings of the “traditional family doctor“. She is joined by a number of other health care staff who have been with the surgery for many many years.

Languages Spoken: English, Tamil (தமிழ்), Bengali, Latvian & Russian

The practice is served by dedicated GPs: Dr Inthu Kumarendran, Dr Anusha Rajamenon, Dr Mary Sathanathan and a Long term Locum Doctor (Male) Dr Syed Sirajudeen.  We also have an experienced Registered Practice Nurse, Registered Nursing Associate, Physican Associate and a GP-Assistant, two Healthcare Assistants and a dedicated reception and administrative staff. Some of the reception staff have a healthcare back ground or are training to be Nurses or HCAs. Some of these roles are provided in partnership with the PCN.

Our aim is to provide a high quality, traditional person centred, care with personal health care service to our whole patient population. We achieve this by:

  • Putting our patients at the centre of what we do.
  • Having a highly qualified and trained multi-professional integrated primary Healthcare Team.
  • Offering our services in a safe, supportive and suitably equipped environment, using technological advances in healthcare systems for our patient’s benefit.
